Let’s Try It Again…Hermosa Beach!
Greeting, family, from my new home in Hermosa Beach, CA. I tried this the other night, and as all of you know, it didn’t work. Here goes again. Except this time I’m way tired, so it’ll be short.
I was feeling quite homesick at the end of July and was thinking of moving home. I went to get my hair done by Richard, my hair dresser, who lives in Hermosa. I brought Janet, of AJ and Janet Mihalic. They both raved about their town and suggested I move here. So, while I was in NJ, I realized I didn’t really want to move home. I contaced the schools in the LA area and got a call back from Manhattan Beach. I set up an interview for two days after returning and got an offer two days after that. My gut said to take it, but, nonetheless, I debated (waste of time) for a full week before accepting. I packed up my things and with the help of “Uncle” Paul, we moved my things up on Sun. I had an orientation today and training tomorrow. School starts next Wed.
So far, I’m really happy and excited. Somewhat nervous too.

You mean the comments connected to your empty entry? When I deleted the empty entry, the comments also got deleted. I don’t think there were any comments connected to this post yet. Sorry about that. I hope you’re enjoying your new home and life in Hermosa Beach. I don’t think I will be able to visit this Thanksgiving, much less now that we had to pay for Karina to return to the US unexpectedly (see a post I’ll write up very soon). But I hope we can all see each other around Christmas time, maybe in Ohio? One thing: Why is “Uncle” Paul in quotes? He is our uncle, right?

Patrick • 08/28/03 • 4:26 PM:No, I can’t undelete it. It’s gone. Let that be a lesson to all of us. If you want to build a strip mall, do it somewhere else, not in my town. Seriously, though, what’s so hard about doing things nice and orderly(ly)?
