This article says that, for $26, you can purchase the Social Security numbers and home addresses for top Bush administration officials. The California-based (where else?) Foundation for Taxpayer and Consumer Rights said that this illustrates the need for stronger protections of personal information. Well I guess so! I’m glad I’m not famous and nobody would care about my social security number!
