Summer Plans
Hi folks.
I’d like to talk about my summer plans, as Davey and I are trying to coordinate so that we see each other this summer. Last year we didn’t take the time to plan ahead and it didn’t work out at all.
I’m going to house sit for a couple friend of mine who is getting married on 6/26. I’ll be at their lovely home from 6/22 till about 7/6. Then I plan to come home for the Belmar AVP. I’d like to stay for about a week and a half, which would take me to 7/17. That’s a Sat. The Hermosa AVP is on 7/22, a Thurs. I plan to play in that one too. Actually, I think I might come home earlier? I’d like to get input from Davey. Maybe we could make plans to go camping or something. I’ve still never been to, oh, what’s it called? The place where you and dad went hiking and there was that immense and beautiful hotel on the lake?
If anyone wants to visit, I’d like that. Younger brothers, this means you! Dave and I seem to be the only(?) ones with much open time — out of the children, I mean. I hear there was talk of visiting Pat and Karina in August. Let’s try to coordinate asap. There are no avps in Aug., so I’m available. I plan on going to the Chicago avp on Sept. 2nd. School doesn’t start this year till 9/8. Yipee! (That’s a Wed. and we have a tradition of starting on Wednesdays.)
I need to find a job for the summer and I plan on talking to the mother of the girl I tutor. She’s Tracy Quartermaine on General Hospital. I hear extras earn about $200/day. THAT wouldn’t be bad, now would it?
I MISS you guys. Let’s open the conversation about where we’re going to LIVE again. Perhaps schedule a visit to Oregon?

Well, we all know Dan’s summer plans just went up in smoke. What were those plans, you ask? I was going to get up at about 9 every morning, maybe earlier, go to the beach, find some guys to play pickup vball with, or just set to myself a couple thousand times daily, wait around until people got off work, play all evening, go home, eat, and sleep, then visit Kath for a while and live in her place with AJ, maybe swing by Utah. That’s about it. Now I have to work. What is that all about? I’m working on a way to avoid this work thing. Any ideas?
David • 05/24/04 • 3:40 PM:Kath, the place is Mohonk Mountain - the place is awesome and we should certainly go. I will get my finalized summer plans on here soon. I’ll be in NJ June 22ish - July 4ish. Stay tooned.
Dad • 05/27/04 • 5:52 PM:Mom and I plan on visiting Utah in August, but haven’t set the timing. Bill calvin has asked me a few times if I can help out driving the truck. He’s going to be in Chicago and Milwaukee in he next month. I don’t know if I’ll have the time, but certainly should avoid being in Chicago while David is out here. (Course, I could alway visit Dan when he gets off work.) I have work too, but it’s not so intensive I can’t take some time off when necessary/desirable.
