Mother’s Cookies
Have you ever tried Mother’s Cookies? If not, you should. Karina turned me on to them years ago with their coconut cookies, called Cocadas, which are exactly like some cookies Karina likes in Uruguay. They’re the kind of cookies you don’t need to eat a whole lot of. You eat a couple and you’re satisfied (other cookie companies must put some strange stuff in their recipes to keep you shoving them in your mouth even when you’re no longer hungry). And, as an added bonus, when you’re eating them, you feel like you’re being halfway healthy (in a vaguely Bill-Cosby sort of way; chocolate cake for breakfast, anyone?). Hey, they got coconut, no? So recently, when I saw other varieties of Mother’s Cookies on sale, I bought some. I can highly recommend the Taffy kind (not at all like taffy) in addition to Cocadas.
Just thought you’d like to know. And here’s a silly little commercial jingle (“If baking cookies is wrong, then I don’t want to be right!”).
