I saw a FedEx commercial last night that made me laugh and think of my dear brother David (not anymore, but how he used to be). The setup is an office worker mentions sending a package via FedEx (ground?) and another says “That’s way expensive.” A third worker says, “You’re always wrong!”
“Why do you say that?”
“Let’s review: First, Steely Dan isn’t one guy. Second, we get fringe benefits, not French benefits…”
And he had one or two more that I forget. Ha ha ha ha ha. I can’t be sure, but I think Dave has had at least one of these exact misconceptions.
